You need 2 apps for ROOT Android (but even if you normally fly with iOS or a not rooted device it seems with this crude method you can swap devices after FCC is ON…
Start with Android Market Enabler (AME) and note down your real value (4 to 6 numbers) shown at actual value. May press “save current settings” to later restore. But that failed for me so i better write them down.choose (us) T-Mobile from settings list, LONG press and use “fake this provider now”now use region changer and tap English(US) from the list.THATS ALL, fire up DJI GO 4 (e.g. 4.1.2) and enjoy.To be sure verify with RF meter or veryfy by signal bar display.So no need to use the password etc that was foundPut some wall / space between you and your mavic until you have 3 bars, folding antenna helps.(in normal mode).Then do above steps and pray to get 4 or 5 bars.undo region ( i put in noted number in custom setting in Android Market Enabler), disconnect phone, reboot phone, fire up DJI GO and THEN the bars should go back to 3.if that works one or two times you got itOn my setup i was able to connect unrooted unmodded phone and FCC level was still there. I also exchanged with iPad mini 4 and FCC level was kept.I did one veryfy with Mavic having GPS, that worked. I did NOT verify the swap with Mavic having GPS so thats unsure. Was unable, its raining “cats & dogs” here.The one GPS verify was done with umbrella & stuff, messy stuff…ENJOYno need of pw or 4.0.6 or anything else. 2 free apps, rooted Android, thats the recipe.
